Bags are made of polyester fibre which is resistant to UV light so they should last for many seasons. The three sizes available this year are made to fit 12', 14' and 16' diameter trees with spherical foliage shape. The netting is fairly stretchy and so will conform to taller and narrower or shorter and wider trees. Last year we bagged 20' and 22' trees with nets designed for a 16' tree and they worked but were difficult to put on. They also bent some of the branches a bit but didn't do any damage to the tree or fruit.

In the spring of 2008 Kootenay Covers will be available in stores throughout British Columbia. If you use a net this year, please send any comments you may have to:

Cherries properly protected by Kootenay Covers should have no poison on them, no worms in them and no bird damage. These perfect cherries should command top prices on the market. They also are excellent dried, and you don't have to worry about concentrating poisons when you dry them, because they are poison-free.
